Quadcopter Project - Initial Research

Decided to start building a 3D printed quadcopter, did some research and found an open source build on thingiverse. The source files are available in sketch-up and would allow for modification.

My goals for the project is to create a modular quadcopter, which would later support HD video, and FPV(first-person video).

There are many flight controllers to look into, I saw an arduino based open source autopilot system, and there are many other hobby controllers available.
